Just because the Federal government help pay for the food, they feel they have this right. This is a serious RED FLAG to Americans. If you pray out loud--NO FOOD FOR YOU!!

This is getting out of hand, recognizing that some of your fellow citizens pray before eating a meal is not the same as the federal government establishing a religion.
"But Senior Citizens Inc. officials said Friday the meals they are contracted by the city to provide to Ed Young visitors are mostly covered with federal money, which ushers in the burden of separating church and state."
No where in the US Constitution does it say any and all government must be scrubbed free of any religious reference or acknowledgment of religion. This political correctness is getting out of hand.
As more and more people are collecting food stamps, I wonder if they received instructions that those who pray over their meals now have to have a moment of silence instead?

3 cheers for the government or whoever stopped that non sense!! If you want to pray then do so silently. The rest of us do not necessarily wish to be subjected to your views on God anymore than we do a Jew's views or a Muslim's views. Keep it to yourself. They give you a moment of silence. Use it.

Freedom OF religion means freedom FROM religion. Nobody told them they cannot pray. They were just told to keep it to themselves- where it belongs.

They're just grateful to have the food. Let them pray for it.
I agree. Silently. Why do Christians feel the need to force their religious views on everybody else? I never see Jews wailing prayers at public gatherings. I don't see Catholics- or even Muslims doing it either. Christians qare the only people that can walk into a secular setting and say out loud "OK everybody bow your heads...."
