Oh my, my, my. Looks like the dirt deals, the secret meetings behind closed doors, the pushing through of an unpopular HC care bill against the will of the people and on a party line vote has had an impact. Didn't the democrats claim the people would LOVE it?

Democratic Party Image Drops to Record Low

Quote:
Gallup last measured party images in late August/early September of last year. At that point, the Democratic Party enjoyed an 11-point favorable image advantage over the Republican Party. Now, the favorable ratings of the two parties are essentially tied.
Quote:
For example, the favorable rating of the Democratic Party exceeded that of the Republican Party by 52% to 37% just prior to the 2006 midterm elections, in which the Democrats gained 31 House seats.
Significant for mid-term elections.

The November 2010 writing is on the wall. Apparently, the Democrats on this forum are illiterate.

And....did you bother to read the rest of the article?

Quote:
The images of the two major parties have particular significance in a midterm election year. For example, the favorable rating of the Democratic Party exceeded that of the Republican Party by 52% to 37% just prior to the 2006 midterm elections, in which the Democrats gained 31 House seats.
Generic Ballot Provides Clues for 2010 Vote

Quote:
Given the usual Democratic advantages in party identification among the general public, it is rare for Republicans to lead on the generic ballot among registered voters. This was the case even when Republicans were the majority congressional party from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s.

Translating generic ballot into seats. You do the math.

This is a stunning graph;

Over the last 18 years, not once did the favorable rating for the democrats fall into negative territory - until you know when.

You must be mistaken, I have been told dozens of times right here that it is all about the right and everything is the fault of the right.

Have I been fed a line of B.S.?

In politics, a week is like a year, and a year is like a lifetime. It was just two months ago that a lot of Republicans were crowing, "Healthcare is dead!"
