Due to obamacare bill. Going to sock it to the middle class with massive tax hike.

JCT: Healthcare law to sock middle class with a $3.9 billion tax increase in 2019 - The Hill's On The Money

Quote:
Taxpayers earning less than $200,000 a year will pay roughly $3.9 billion more in taxes — in 2019 alone — due to healthcare reform, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress's official scorekeeper.
Quote:
The new law raises $15.2 billion over 10 years by limiting the medical expense deduction, a provision widely used by taxpayers who either have a serious illness or are older.
Quote:
Once the law is fully implemented in 2019, the JCT estimates the deduction limitation will affect 14.8 million taxpayers — 14.7 million of them will earn less than $200,000 a year.
Had to get the bill passed to find out what was in it.

There goes that "pledge" of obama's not to increase taxes, ANY TAXES, on those making under $200K.

Of course, it'll be business as usual for the uber-wealthy. The most recent bust for a tax evader was someone who put less than 1 million away at a UBS branch. Betcha anyone with many millions isn't gonna get busted.

Obama, socialist? Only with upper middle class and middle class paychecks.

Snake Oil Salesman 101: "I won't raise taxes on the middle class, but I'll see to it that another President writhes in misery while I collect the Historical Pat On the Back. Technically I didn't break my promise!"

Semantical Back Door....coming right up!

That's $265 per taxpayer earning under $200,000/year in 2019.

Per citizen or per taxpayer? There's a difference.

And the means to that end were Lies and Thievery.

$3.9 billion divided by the 14.7 million taxpayers in the article. "These taxpayers are single and joint filers, as well as heads of households."

Gotcha. That's ~$22/month per person taken out of the economy. I don't see how that's necessarily beneficial.

It didn't count... he had his fingers crossed behind his back when he made that "pledge."

Pay up, suckers!

$22 per month per tax filer - but it's still "in the economy" as it comes back as gov't expenditures - it doesn't go into a Vatican vault.
