Obama the most radical? Newt might want to get a load of these guys.

5 presidents more 'radical' than Obama - CNN.com

5 presidents more 'radical' than Obama

New York (CNN) -- Newt Gingrich called President Obama "the most radical president in American history" at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference last week.

The leader of the 1994 Republican Revolution is a smart man and a historian, so he must know better. But he's also exploring a run for president, an action that frequently suspends good judgment in pursuit of sound bites. Perspective is the first thing abandoned in hyper-partisan attacks.

So here is a look at five presidents who, it could be argued, exceed Obama in the "radical" sweepstakes.

"...We need to wake up to the fact that demonizing people we disagree with, and indulging in attempts to delegitimize a duly elected president from Day One, hurts us all as a nation. We can do better -- and we deserve better, especially from people who want to lead the nation themselves."

Radical seems to be just what the nation needs to turn around and fix the problems that had occurred over the past 30 years. The news article points out George W. as being one of the five, and I’d have to agree with that. Good leadership is always hard to come by when a nation is so divided, nobody is happy with anything that’s happening.

Where was this attitude during the Bush years?

this is just typical hypocrtical myopic diatribe from the left.

"Family Values" Gingrich knows Obama isn't the most radical president in history. He's just trying to fire up the wingnuts.

Heck, they can't even spell...how are they supposed to know if Gingrich is telling the truth or not? Oh, I know, they wait for Glenn Beck to tell them..

Well 4 or the 5 were hardly in our lifetime, the article is an opinion and appears in a liberal publication. So we are all going to believe it? Opinions are not facts. We were not around during 3 or the 5 presidencies and most of us remember little if anything about FDR.

Newt said most radical in American History. Just because you were not alive and present when a person was president doesn't mean that you cannot read history and come to conclusions. If you disagree with the opinion piece, then you can do some research and determine what the actions were of the 5 presidents and exactly how radical they were. You don't have to be "alive" during someone's Presidency in order to know what they did or didn't do for the country. Read, read, read about FDR.
