the tax cuts...or more specificly the tax credits for the poor/working class (households UNDER 180K) were/are a good thing

Sure, but don't forget that the biggest slice in the bail-out pie came in form of tax cuts/credits etc. Heck, it was the biggest tax cut in US history. And practically all of the other new "spending" is designed to stimulate the economy. I think the opposition needs to acknowledge that there are things happening which they should be happy about, and have asked for themselves, so maybe they could try spread some optimism as opposed to endless doomsday message. Isn't the strong economy in everyone's best interest?
