Yep, the gun ban worked so good it got an off duty police officer killed by robbers. One of the robbers was killed and another robber injured when a retired police officer showed up with his legal firearm and shot the robbers. If the gun ban worked, then the officer would still be alive. Guess the Chicago Mayor only wants his goons to have guns to make it easier to rob the citizens who obey the law.

It isnt a ban on all guns... just handguns... people can still own rifles and shotguns etc...

There is a good chance that the handgun ban will be repealed, and hopefully it will. But, people need to realize that when they say guns are banned in Chicago, that they are actually incorrect.
Plus, repealing the ban will only help so much, since, Illinois is a no carry state. It is not legal to open or conceal carry in the whole state.
