In testimony submitted to Congress, Capitol Police officials have said that the threats against lawmakers have caused them to dramatically increase their security efforts. Police who work on protective details say demands on their time have skyrocketed, and the department has requested a 54 percent increase — of $2.7 million — to fund travel for its dignitary protection officers in fiscal year 2011.

“We’re gonna [expletive] get you,” he said in one message. “We’re gonna get you with a lot of [expletive] bolt action. Like we did RFK; like we did MLK. We know who you are. We’ll get you.” FBI agents tracked the calls to a 54-year-old Texas man who lived alone — and who at one time had owned a 20-gun arsenal of handguns, shotguns and rifles. According to the documents, he told officers that he was “really, really drunk” when he made the calls. He said he was just “venting” — taking out his frustrations after hearing a discussion of the Fairness Doctrine and becoming concerned that the government would attempt to abolish the radio shows of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

Even I wouldnt want the government to abolish Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, even though it would be a humanitarian gesture and one that ultimately would benefit the nation. Hatemongers rule the airwaves because they are planted everywhere to influence the minds of the low information listeners who are angry and looking for someone to blame.

Sean and Rush are on everyday, dutifully steering them away from those responsible, as they are paid to do.

This old fool needs to quit drinking . Good thing he keeps it down to calling, unlike Pelosi,Ried and Obamas conrads . Did Ayers really try to blow up a building ? Was Rev. Wright wrong about trying to incite a racial civil war preaching hate for 20 yr.s and the obamas never caught on ! How about the biggest radical bigot and hate monger Farracon , didn't he belong to NOI whomade a sieve out of Malcolm X ?

I love when libs try to paint the right as the only side of the aisle with nutjobs. Unfortunately there are plenty of crazies out there, and those of us on either side get to claim some of them. The key is for the rest of us to unilaterally renounce violence against each other. Regardless of your views and beliefs, we are all still American afterall. I will be thrilled with the political exit of Obama and Pelosi, but anyone that puts any serious thought toward real acts of causing bodily harm really needs to see a professional.

What goes around comes around. It sounds like we're seeing the same anti-government sentiment that was prevalent in the 90's. The Unabomber, Eric Rudolph, Waco, Timothy McVeigh. And it always seems to happen when liberals are in power. I wonder why that is?
