I didn't read the article you linked, but just wanted to mention that the US health care system is absolutely nothing like Canada's, even after the health reform bill. Not even close. Furthermore, no one (Democrat or otherwise) has instituted a plan (or even proposed a viable bill) that would give free health care to all Americans. If that's even a possibility in this country, we're years and years away from it.
So, besides being blatantly incorrect in your OP, what's your point?

One doesn't have to dig too deep to not believe any politician, including none other than Barack Obama, who tells you that providing healthcare for all will actually save money in real terms. It's hogwash, and you know it, so you pull out the technicalities to make yourself feel better.
The OP makes a valid point, no matter how far you try to side-step it.

Reason: spelling
Ontario, Canada's most populous province, kicked off a fierce battle with drug companies and pharmacies when it said earlier this year it would halve generic drug prices and eliminate "incentive fees" to generic drug manufacturers.
Hey but the Dcats and master magician Mr O is going to have free medical care for all and save money on top of it......yeah right!
Kathy Dalkemper, PA Congresswoman, approached me yesterday as we were lining up for the Memorial Day Parade in Mercer, PA. She extended her hand, and while I had her hand, I looked her straight in the face and said, "You voted for the health care bill; shame on you!". She said, "yes, I did." It was as though she could not comprehend why I would be against it. These people are either just plain stupid, or they are all part of the plan to destroy our liberty. In her case, I think it's stupidity.

You are sadly uninformed. You've bought the lies. We are all going to wind up on the government plan, that was the idea from the beginning (Obama's own words, he "has always" been in favor of "a single payer" system). There will be no more private insurance. It's in the bill.
There will be no new drugs developed. Companies will not invest in the R&D if there is no profit in it.
When will people learn that it is the profit motive that is what brings any new product to market. We wouldn't even have our computers, it there was no profit in personal computers.
People keep decrying "profit" as something evil. But it is the reason we enjoy our high standard of living (soon to be much lower, thanks to B.H.O.)
Drug companies must be allowed to make a profit, or we will all be losers.

Obamacare was the foot in the door of single payer. All the principals have said as much, rahm, obama, frank, klein, etc, etc.
They see the collapse of single payer systems around the world and STILL want the US HC system to be transformed into one.
