If he is below 50 he couldnt win election today. So you can sit here and talk up how hes just a little below 50. Today is a much different time then Reagan time. People want change. They actually believed Obama would bring it. They are seeing that was a lie.

The thing is also check out his disapproval rating
Bush was at 48% when he won re-election.....

When he came into office in January of 2009 we had just lost in the neighborhood of 700,000 jobs IN ONE MONTH - and that number had been growing for the better part of a YEAR. In his FIRST FULL MONTH in office that number started to drop - and it continued to drop all through last year until by the end of the year the economy was ADDING JOBS - and now we're adding 200,000+ jobs/month. How in the heck is that MAKING IT WORSE? Would you prefer that we continued losing 700,000+ jobs per month?

Absolutely someone can win with under 50% - you have a short memory don't you (how convenient )? Depending on what the Tea Party folks do and whatever other 3rd party candidates run it's quite possible to win with less than 50% of the vote (Clinton won that way the first time) - let alone a less than 50% approval rating. Besides, as the economy recovers so will Obama's approval rating.

So the line is drawn with Obama at 50/50. Yet the line with Bush was drawn at what...18/82....???

Couple of questions.
What is the unemployment rate?

Which party had control of both houses?

What was Obamas job before he became president?

I am sick and tired of hearing Obama inherited this. OMG he didnt have to take the job, He applied for it. Stop whining. Seriously

Do you realize that you are saying a year later we're still losing jobs even after Obamas stimulus that was said to keep unemployment at 8%

Tea party isnt going to do something thats going to help keep Obama in office. So dont count on that

It's not "whining" to point out the fact that the economy sucked BEFORE Obama came into office. It's simply pointing out the FACTS. The fact that you may be SICK of hearing Obama inherited this doesn't change the fact that HE DID. This was what was going on just before Obama was sworn in (a news article from Jan 4th 2009):

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. economy probably lost more jobs in 2008 than in any year since the end of World War II as firings rippled from homebuilders and automakers to banks and retailers, a government report may show this week. Payrolls fell 500,000 in December, bringing last year’s decline to 2.4 million, the most since 1945, according to the median estimate of economists surveyed by Bloomberg News ahead of Labor Department figures due Jan. 9. The unemployment rate likely jumped to the highest level since 1993.

And, I should point out that January was EVEN WORSE - with roughly 700,000 jobs lost. You say you are "sick of hearing that Obama inherited this" - get over it! He DID inherit this - or do you think that losing half a million jobs a month reflects a ROSEY ECONOMY?

Yeah it is whining when going on 2 years later your still going on about he inherited this. Like he is suppose to get a pass for his own actions. Remember when democrats called for Bush to be accountable and responsible for what happens while he was president? Well now its Obamas turn. That he inherited is played out. Do you plan to keep trying to use that excuse for the next how many years? At some point and time its time to man up suck it up and accept it.

I notice you didnt answer my question but tried to avoid them by blaming Bush

What is or was the unemployment rate at the time I asked the question?

Which party controlled both houses?

What was Obamas job before becoming president?

Point being its not just 1 party that is to blame for our problems of today. Both parties are to blame. You want to blame only 1.

We can sit here and insult Bush all day but you only want to do that to ignore Obamas lack of doing any better. In fact things have gotten worse since hes been in office.

So now wanna focus on the things we can improve or change the future? OR do you wanna keep focusing on the past to avoid the reality of the future?
