Terrorism and federal government debt tie as the most worrisome issues to Americans when they consider threats to the future wellbeing of the U.S. Four in 10 Americans call each an "extremely serious" threat, with healthcare costs ranking a close third.

Federal Debt, Terrorism Considered Top Threats to U.S.

Hopefully this will help wake some up that we cant keep spending and spending.

Democrats I know you all care about winning elections if if the threat of losing them is what it takes to get you all to want to stop spending then so be it. Whatever it takes or pretend Bush is still president and its his spending. Whatever this is a serious issue to many Americans and its time many of you accept that

Well, we have evidently (?) tried that, without much difference. With less interference we can definitely reduce terrorism, but that would require selling fewer arms, reducing our dependence on cheap Saudi oil and their subsequent underwriting of much of America's debt--can't be allowed to happen, as our entire corrupt house of cards will come crumbling down.\

Just like corruption, we depend on terrorism. Sick but true. Check out our relationship with the Saudis to get an idea of what we have (and are continuing to do) to keep our oil addiction in place while still inviting more terrorist attacks.

No, I think you are right. Terrorism is not the terrible threat it is made out to be. It's the public excuse to be over there, where we are trying to accomplish our real mission to keep and gain leverage on our "business interests" in the Middle East. It's crooked as hell, and I am pretty much convinced our country has become the monster it once promised to defeat, though through no fault of it's rank and file citizens who have no control at all over what their government does anymore.
