Driving the 887hp Porsche 918 Spyder - CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS - YouTube

It's an amazing car, but I can't help but imagine what a gas-only version would be like with the huge weight savings.

That's simply one of the sexiest cars I have ever laid eyes on. If I could afford one, I'd already be on the list.

The local Porsche dealership here is one of the top dealers in the nation, they had a special event a couple months back and invited just a few local guys with big pockets to come see the car (I'm sure my invite got lost in the mail! LOL)

Can't wait for the first one to show up at the local Cars and Coffee.

I think it's a good looking car with very impressive engineering but it's styling is almost a bit conservative rather than stand out gorgeous. I'm thinking more McLaren MP4-12C, less Ferrari/Lamborghini. It might just be the color that I've seen it in but it's not sexy. It's purposeful like a GT-R.

Another excellent test by Chris Harris. Unfortunately, Harris won't be testing the LaFerrari. He got banned by Ferrari for criticizing them.

I think it's purty.
But why buy a 918 when you can get a Camry?
Sorry, wrong thread.

LOL. The clowns can be annoying but they are a source of amusement.

Another reason to discount Ferrari as a true exotic car maker - they can't deliver consistent results and can't take criticism.

That's a good thing... if they COULD take criticism, the world would not have Lamborghini's.

+1 Porsche also offered a 911 turbo s 918 spyder (some in coupe form with spyder name, kinda odd) for sale to anyone who pre purchased the 918 as a matching set. Beverly Hills had one when I spoke to the dealer and said if the 918 owner didn't want it, it went for sale to the public. I too hope to see the 918 in a future coffee and cars!

I would buy a low mileage collection of cool cars for the 850K asking price of this hybrid. 911 GT2 RS, BMW Z8, Ford GT, Ferrari 599, Z06 Convertible, Boss 302, Shelby GT500 Convertible......and probably still have a few bucks leftover for gas/insurance. Z8/Ford GT's are currently pulling more money than what they stickered for new so I would expect that to continue.
