I just drove there yesterday morning just to take a quick look where it is.. stopped in Jensen beach.... MAN THE BEACHES ARE NICE HERE... awesome area.

I passed by this huge mansion going to Hess gas station.... Does anyone know who owns that thing?

You think the beaches are nice? Personally, I am a little disappointed with the amount of real estate down there- the beach area is pretty small IMO. That is the main reason I go to Stuart. You don't feel like you're sitting on top of others even when it is busy.

Compared to up north? hell ya...

its never busy though.. they are very empty beaches.. there's like 25 miles of beach.. and not many people.. I found multiple spots where there wasn't a single soul in sight for as far as you can see down the beach.

if you didnt know it.. there are lots of beach access areas all along Hut Island -- many of them where there are few if any people there. You can walk forever and never see a building......

if you cross over at the Stuart bridge... you basically are ON Hut Island.. ..just keep going - it goes all the way to Fort Pierce ..then to US#1- then back out again....and on and on

We just got back from a week stay on HI. What a beautiful area. I could see relocating someday.

I love the unspoiled beaches but think the idea of having a nuclear power plant as your neighbor is unsettling.
