Haven't seen a green market at the city center in years ..did it start back up again ? I didn't find the prices lower or the selection very good when they had it before

Whole sale clubs like BJ's and Sams or if you want to drive Costco have the best pricing by far for the same product. That includes produce, meat and really just about everything. I don't think Sams has great produce but BJ's and Costco are good. Meat prices are half what publix charges and so is just about everything else.

There is a farmers market on Midway Rd (south side) and on Indian Street in Stuart (just west of US1). Both of those places are ok as well but I find Rorabeck's in Stuart is slightly better prices on average. Nothing compared to Wholesale but they have better selection of fruits and veggies and better priced than publix.

There was a green market there, but my recollection is that it never had enough vendors to make it competitive. You'd get a better selection at better than chain store prices at Nelson Family Farms on Midway Rd. just west of US 1.

Might have been the Itailiano Fest that was at the civic center this past weekend not the green market ?

I've been to green markets around here, and none of them are really worth going for the produce. Very little, if anything, is grown here. Basically it's the same produce that Publix would sell. They do have some interesting and tasty things there though. Ft Pierce's market on Saturday is the best around IMO. Tradition's and the Civic Center's are embarrassing.

You can get better produce from a dumpster than you can at Publix
