People that were told to "Stay at home" were given the okay to go out. So they flocked to the beaches. Most snowbirds have left also.

Unfortunately 4th of July weekend is coming. Counties to the South closed their beaches again so Indian River and Brevard Counties will probably be impacted again.

Best time for locals to hit the beach.....weekday mornings. Usually can find almost empty on local beaches or less than 100 people on the ones adjacent to causeways(tourist beaches) .

Martin and St. Lucie will likely have to close their beaches as well....because of the out-of-towners who will attempt to drive up from PBC.

Yes. Parking lots are also full of out f state tags, too according to my son. We managed a walk at a quiet beach last Wednesday, but the heat and humidity and no beach breeze kept us down to just a mile walk-even walking in the water did not help a lot. Husband still can't get in water because of the bandages on his leg so he was miserable by the end of the mile.

There is a launch today so Brevard beaches could be impacted by crowds from South and West counties along with the tourists.

Martin County indeed decided to close their public beaches for the long weekend--starting on Thursday afternoon.
