Is anyone familiar with the Quintet Condos on West Burnside? Any insight on Forest Heights neighborhood and association welcome too. How the Associations are run, who lives there, building quality, etc. Thank you! Next recon approaching in May. I'm looking forward to experiencing Spring! It's already been in the 90's here. (loving the spring in Portland thread)

Here is a link to NW & close in SW neighborhood associations in Portland: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/oni/48709 I don't think there is a Forest Heights neighborhood association. Neighborhood Associations in Portland have informal governance, they are really volunteer/activist groups that focus on neighborhood concerns. https://www.portlandoregon.gov/oni/55030 I will spare you the begats but they have City recognition and their opinions are taken into consideration particularly by planning and traffic.

There is a Forest Heights Homeowners association, it is a HOA in a planned unit development. http://www.fhhoa.com/ Read their governance page for specifics.

Years ago I had a friend & his wife who rented a Quintet Condo. They liked it very much. It is a nice location with amenities.

Will you be renting or buying? If buying always have your own inspector (don't limit their inspection to just the unit, have them look at building condition overall) and be sure to review the reserve study, financial report, board minutes, and board correspondence for the last two years (at a minimum) for any condo. I know they have an owner's website, you want access to that too.

The Condo will have rules for use of the common areas. Whether you are buying or renting you should review that.

Welcome home, soon.

Thanks for the helpful links and welcome, Nell. We are buying and will be sure to scrutinize the Condo docs, etc. if we make an offer.
