I moved to Portland earlier this year and am renting a home in the Sellwood area. My wife and son are finally moving out next month and we are bringing all of our belongings via a moving company.

The house we are currently in is quite a bit smaller than we have been accustomed to. A number of items are going to be to be put up in storage until we find something a bit more permanent. The moving company has agreed to deliver some of the items directly to a storage unit for us, but I have been unsuccessful in locating one that can accommodate a semi tractor trailer. Does anyone have any recommendations? Distance is not a major problem, as its item we want to keep for a larger home and don't need on a regular basis.

If distance really is no object, almost all of the storage yards in Central Oregon look like they have enough room to accommodate a full size mover's van.

The big national moving companies all have storage facilities and they will be bringing stuff in with tractor trailers, so their facilities will accommodate full size mover's vans. Try calling them.

Also, try calling storage places in Woodburn. Land is cheap enough there that the storage facilities should have room to drive around.

FWIW. Strongly consider just selling the excess items. Buy them back when you get a bigger house. In storage they will quickly rack up expenses far beyond their actual worth. Let go, or don't move. If you really don't need the money, I'll PM you my paypal account and you can make a donation there. It will be for a very good cause, I assure you. Mr. Storage Facility rent seeker doesn't need it. Hopefully, you won't one day and regret having spent it in such an irresponsible manner. Give it to me, and there is a chance (a chance) that I will have invested it wisely, and will have some of it available should you have a need for cash some day. I'm only half joking here. Guess which half is the not serious part.
