The Garmin nüvi 885/885T 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Speech Recognition proves to be a rather advanced GPS nativigation system compared to many others on the market today. The dozens of features included in this portable GPS system are incredible for the $297.47 price tag. The overall look of this GPS is very sleek, with it's slim design and incredible 4.3-inch widescreen display (measuring 3.81" by 2.25").
As with all Garmin nüvis, the 885T version comes with NAVTEQ maps. The NAVTEQ maps system includes an incredible number of pre-loaded points of interest - over 6 million! Along with the incredible mapping system on this portable GPS navigator, this Garmin GPS has speech recognition that allows you to speak menu options. This is a great hands-free feature, so you can keep your hands on the wheel. Of course, the device also speaks turn by turn directions to you.
Another special feature about the Garmin nüvi 885T model is that it has content from MSN Direct. Using the MSN Direct receiver included with this GPS, you can do such tasks as compare local gas prices, avoid traffic backups, check local weather, and even get information on local events, news, stocks, and movie tickets. The Garmin nüvi 885T comes with a free 3 month long trial subscription to the MSN Direct service, with the capabilities for continued subscription services, as well.
Along with the speech recognition, and MSN Direct service capabilities, the Garmin nüvi 885T is Bluetooth compatible, so you can make hands-free phone calls, and it also comes with the preloaded City Natigator NT maps with millions of points of interest. Some other features of interest include a wireless FM transmitter, an MP3 player, an audio book player, currency converters, an alarm clock, a JPEG picture viewer, and Garmin Games. Overall, the Garmin nüvi 885T is an incredible portable GPS navigation system, that is well worth the $297.47 price tag with all of its convenient features and impressive capabilities.
