We have a stall shower in an enclosed area. Despite running the exhaust fan almost all the time, mold or mildew was a constant battle on the grout. I have tried every product on the market. Any one of them having chlorine works for a few days, but then the mold is back.
I just bought a new product at the grocery store called Mold Armor. It is in a green spray bottle.
It is go good that I had to share about it.
I sprayed the heck out of every surface and just left it there until the next day (don't let it sit on your metal fixtures), when I took a shower I rinsed it off.
All the mold was gone, and now two weeks later, no new mold has formed.

Then you will have mold again as soon as the protective coating you put on will wear off.
Buy a wide squeegee, wipe off all the areas and note
how much water you get off the walls and glass sides !.
Then realise how much water your fan has to evaporate to get the shower dry !
We always squeegee the walls (takes less than a minute !!!)
and never have any mold growing !
We have used a squeegee before, but we still had the same trouble. There is no mildew on the tiles or the glass door, only on the grout. It seems reasonable that the less moisture remains, the less mildew, but we still had it.
The mildew on the grout was an issue we inherited from the previous owner.
My point for this post is that I found a product which, after 4 years, has seemingly cured the problem.
If you don't have any mold or mildew, I guess you can just disregard the whole subject.
Do you *squeegee off* the shower after you are done, and then leave the door open ?
I'm not sure why C-D is showing me this older thread, but I do squeegee my shower walls. I'm going to try the product mentioned in the first post since I do have some mold and mildew in the shower. I hope it works!
A creative answer to this problem- you can pay kids to clean tile grout with brushes and abrasive cleansers. They have all the energy in the world for such a task.
& The old standby Tilex is good at zapping mold and mildew, but beware, you need to ventilate your space before using it.
