I hadn't thought about it, but you are right. The voices don't work for good.
Or maybe they do. The voices that have their puppets picking up trash and working in soup kitchens don't make the 6 o'clock news, so maybe they are doing that and we just don't hear about them.
Who knows. Maybe Mother Teresa was just obeying the voices in her head.
Have you heard the voices in other peoples' heads? How do you know that they don't give out constructive commands every now and then? This assumption of yours is a very common psychological phenomena in humans where we draw false conclusions based on evidence that confirms our belief while ignoring the evidence that goes against it.

How do you know they don't? When the voices tell them to kill, it's newsworthy so we hear about it; if voices told someone to clean up litter or visit an elderly person, how would we ever know about it?
In truth though, I think having voices in your head would fill a person with terror, regardless of what they were saying. When people are in a state of profound fear, it is natural that subsequent acts would reflect that fear. Most people in a state of fear don't perform loving actions.

Exactly. And to the OP, there's nothing funny about schizophrenia. It's one of the most severe mental illnesses that exists.
