It is a fact that men are more visually stimulated to sexual arousal.

What you see is often key to what you are feeling. Why do you think that most porn is directed at and consumed by men?

Women often require no visual stimulation at all to become aroused, we may be more focused on thoughts or feelings for instance. Just seeing a good looking man is not the same as when a man sees a good looking woman. Naked or not.

But if a woman looks at his eyes, and he is looking right at her, and we think he is wanting us, that can trigger arousal. I've always said that the right kind of eye contact is a powerful tool for men. So in that case, the woman is aroused not by seeing him standing there, but by imagining what he is thinking.

Those scenes in regular movies, with people behaving passionately, are a lot more arousing to most women, than explicit pornography.

However there are many exceptions to that...and many women who love porn, and have different things that turn them on. You would be surprised how many men are different from what is considered normal and expected, too. In fact, a fetish is a thing that a person can't become aroused without it involved, and so the millions of men and women with fetishes don't fall neatly into this description either.

NEWS FLASH!

Women are different from men! (Try love, kissing, dancing, shopping, babies*.)

*Clue: Notice women get "excited" when they see a baby.

How many times are you going to ask this? Thirteen pages of discussion aren't enough for you?

I noticed that, after I replied here...but ya know, one might get different answers in the two different forums, for what it's worth.

And while the OP might not be coming at this from a particularly highbrow place, I definitely find the psychology of sexuality very interesting.

True. However, cross-posting the same topic is not permitted. I will move the other thread to the Psych forum.
