First off, I'm not at all annoyed about giving or receiving actual hugs. I'm talking about the meme that floats around the Internet, like this:
I find these to be very annoying. First off, the implication is that some or most of the sender's friends are only faking that they care, and thus the sender needs to have their friends prove it. Secondly, how does it make anyone feel hugged if someone else likes and shares their posts? And then there's the kicker: I know who "really" cares about me, versus who only fakes it.
Which begs the question: why do you need to "see" who really cares if you already "know" who will hug you?
I find these things to be very annoying and a form of emotional blackmail. What do others think?
Well I never really liked Facebook. I have one but I don't use it that much so it just seems like standard Facebook protocol to me. The whole site is just bragadocious.
