I saw a crow picking on a squirrel last week and I swear, that crow was laughing his face off. He kept dropping twigs and sticks onto the squirrel just to get a rise out of it (and it worked every time. Squirrels are so jumpy!) The crow sat up on a limb in the tree just caw caw cawing like it was giggling. The same crows bring me little gifts once in awhile because I feed them every day. One day a crow left a round rock for me right next to all my painting supplies. They're smart! I know they have senses of humor.
All the time. I crack myself up, even... enough to make me laugh out loud. Or if something's really funny. I don't another person around in order to laugh. I can't not laugh, under most normal circumstances.
I laugh when I'm alone. Birds that talk laugh and I don't think they are just making noise because I've heard parrots who are very smart laugh in response to something happening. I think a cat I used to have would have laughed if she had the right vocal chords when my other cat did something stupid.
They ARE smart, you're so right! When I open my blinds in the morning, I hear the crows start cawing and then they descend upon my yard. We have two large maple trees that they perch in and wait for me to bring out goodies for them. The other day they were on the roof of my neighbor's shed. It's that hard plastic and they could not get a grip for anything, so they just "skied" down the roof repeatedly. It was like watching a couple of clowns. You could tell they were doing it for fun. It was kind of fascinating to watch. There are at least 4 who regularly show up at my house. They've gotten to the point where they "trust" me enough to hang out while I'm out there. I just remain quiet and do my painting. It's only when I say, "Hi, Crows!" and make eye contact that they decide to scoot. Apparently I'm threatening with my big, goofy smile. They take stock enough, however, to know which chair I tend to sit in because they have left rocks for me on the seat a couple of times. I don't know why they always choose rocks, but I think it's pretty cute.
Yes -- whenever I think of something funny, watch something funny, read something funny, or hear something funny.
