Did you mean 17 HB (Hell's Bay)? You'll find several old threads here about the perfect boat. I think the only conclusion has been that there is no perfect boat. There are lots of opportunities for both the micro skiff and the center console. The micro skiff will limit your ability (and desire) to cross the harbor on choppy days. It will also get you places back in the mangroves that the center console won't.

Well put, WPC...
Bob, I might suggest you read through the years of postings on our fishing thread above.
Not only will you learn what boats are used for what types of fishing, you'll enjoy some damn good reading about where to fish, when and using what. You'll also get to know us along the way. Instead of th newspaper, read our thread every morning with your coffee. Soon, you'll be skipping your chores to read the fishing forum. This will prepare you for skipping out many other things, in favor of going fishing here around Charlotte Harbor.

That C-hawk is an interesting looking boat. That deep vee may do well on the harbor chop. In the pictures I'm looking at, the helm looks far forward, pilot house style - is that how yours is set up?

Either boat would do fine. I'd probably go w/ the 23 C Hawk myself.
