This is what the neighbors are telling me that long ago , a proposed stop on 75 before exit 161 south is in planning stages. The area has to deal with traffic noise and planes every day, now this...making every advance on open propetry for profit, in PG ... That's the way I guess

It supposedly will be based in the area of the truck weigh station, so that people won't have to exit the highway like they did at the precious one. No immediate plans to start from last I heard.

Here is the I-75 Rest Areas Project Development and Environmental Study - Final Site Selection Report.

As you can see from reading the report, it is a state owned rest stop, not a private "for profit" truck stop. It's in the Oil Well Road area, not the same location near the airport where the state closed down a rest stop in April 2015.

No, this one (actually two; one each on South bound and North bound) will be directly off of I-75 a few miles south in the vicinity of Oil Well Road.
