Shopping/Gyms near west cary (Durham, Apex: lease, house, to buy)

We are moving to Cary from CO next week and will be living in Weldon Ridge subdivision. Leased a place to live for one year while we find something to buy. Loved the Triangle area when we came here for house hunting last month!

When I look at Google maps, I don't see any shopping (except a Harris Teeter) near Weldon Ridge... Need suggestions on where people go for shopping. We are spoiled because there is a huge mall in walking distance to our house in CO..

Also, more importantly - any suggestions for a good/clean gym nearby. Child care in the gym would be preferable as we have a toddler.

Southpoint mall in Durham is 6-7 miles from there. There are several Gyms in 8 mile radius. Exploer google maps and you will find them.

Target, Koh's, HomeGoods/TJMaxx, Justice for Girls, Dick's Sporting Goods, AC Moore, Lowe's Home Improvement Center, Office Max, Pet Smart, Movie Theatre & Restaurants are all a very short drive down Hwy 55 in Apex in the Beaver Creek Shopping Center.

Lifestyle fitness is close by just off of 55, next to Beaver Creek shopping center. They have child care there as well.Welcome
