New home in Cary area - can someone make suggestions ? Coming from FL where we have little or no choice, this could be hard for me to navigate, recommendations welcomed. DM if you prefer. I dont need complete insurance, just walls in as it's a condo type of home.

I'd start with the company that has your cars insured.

Farm Bureau has some good rates.

We've been pleased with Erie.

As stantheman sorta noted, you want insurance, not a marketing machine.

Have had good luck with Auto Owners. Great coverage, service, and pricing compared to even USAA (who I had for many, many years before)

Liberty Mutual came through in a big way when we had a tree fall on our house a couple of years ago. We've had our cars insured with them forever.
