I am interested in finding a church with groups or activites for people in their late-20s or 30s. It does not have to be specifically for single people. I have done some initial searching but have mostly found things for people in college/over-40 or who are married. The church I attended in Dallas had such a program and it was a great way to meet new people while being more active in the church.

About me: I am 28, single with no children and current live in the Brier Creek area. I am Presbyterian but am open to attending churches of other denominations.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Connections Church has what you are looking for. A pretty active group for those who are in their mid-20s to 30s. They regularly get together for all sorts of fun activities (I'm a little jealous of them).

Also, being the Crossroads area, it is very easy to get to from all points in the Triangle.

It's non-denominational so there are people who grew up in all different backgrounds present. That's pretty cool.

White Memorial Presbyterian is working to build its Young Adults Presbyterian - it is a very large congregation.

First Presbyterian Church in downtown Raleigh has the Journey Class First Presbyterian Church, Church School (http://fpcraleigh.org/churchschool.html - broken link) which is mostly singles and couples in the 25-35 age range. The class meets in between the 8:30 and 11:00 services at 9:45am

What church in Dallas did you go to? I'll be moving to Raleigh soon from Dallas too, and will be in the same boat!

Check out Providence Baptist on Glenwood. They are a large congregation, but they have a very active singles program.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will make a plan to try these out in the coming weeks to see what clicks.

TraciPT--in Dallas, I often attended services at Highland Park Presbyterian and sometimes attended groups at Watermark Community Church-which is a bit more contemporary. I hope your move goes smoothly and you enjoy Raleigh!

I can report that White Memorial Presbyterian has an outstanding group for people in late 20's and 30's.
