It is February. It is 70 degrees and sunny. I spent my lunch hour on the porch with my dog sitting in the sun. Choose carefully if you want to move away, take a moment to appreciate what you have if you live here, and welcome to anyone who wants to move here!

Awwww…. agreed!!! Us, North Carolinians have always said the BEST thing about our weather is if you do not like it today…. no worries, it will more than likely change tomorrow!
We are so fortunate to have 70 and even 80 degree weather throughout our winter months, but to also have dustings of snow as well!

Right here, and right now, I love that my door is open and I can enjoy the warmth and the birds singing in the yard. I like the bluebird that sits on my windowsill every morning and fights with his reflection. I like that the mountain and beach are close by, even if I haven't visited them yet. But mostly, I love the fresh start that North Carolina has afforded my family and I. I never expected to end up in NC, but I am forever grateful to be here.

My tulips and crocuses (croci?) are starting to bloom and I was outside in flip flops without freezing my toes off! Such a good day! The only way it would have been better would have been no afternoon nap for my little one so we could make the most of the weather outside.
days like this are pure joy. Heaven. The flies and skeeters aren't out yet, the warm air was nice and dry, the pine trees haven't started their trillion man march (botany breeding joke), ah. Spring in NC. NOTHIN' beats it. I'll be missing this next February!
