Just heard that The Carroll Companies have purchased a site in Cary called Stonewater Center (on Green Level Church Road and O'Kelly Chapel in Cary) to build an apartment community, beginning this summer.
The apartment building will be constructed with all-brick exteriors, and will feature amenities that will include a fitness center, theater room, tropical pool, outdoor kitchens and grilling area. Apartment units will have nine-foot ceilings, ceramic tile floors and kitchen islands.
How likely will these turn into Section 8 housing, causing further headaches for the Cary PD and law abiding citizens?
From your description, it sounds more like a luxurious apartments and not section 8 housing. Nothing can turn into section 8 housing without going through Town Council. I haven't noticed such in there agenda/minutes.
