I was given a ridiculously high estimate for having my dog's teeth cleaned today. We had all the blood work done and she is healthy enough to go under but I'm not healthy enough to deal with the bill.

Please recommend a vet in Chapel Hill or Carrboro I might try. Based on her previous dental cleaning, they estimate 3 hours under.

I was recently amazed at the range I was quoted for a feline dental. Just be sure to tote the blood work results with you wherever you end up so as to not accrue that charge again.

Is it worth a drive? If so, call Magnolia Animal Hospital in Raleigh for a quote. They are very affordable in general and I've heard their teeth cleanings are as well (my 9 year old cat still hasn't needed one, but I use them for everything else and will use them whenever she does need it).

I've been going to Hillsborough Veterinary Clinic for about 8 years now. I Love it there. I have seen every vet there at some point in time, and they are all great! It is not far from Chapel Hill, in Hillsborough near the Ice Arena on Meadowland Dr.

Went to Hillsborough Veterinary this moring and even though the drive was long - 25 minutes) the estimate I was given for the work we need done was approximately 1/2 the quote in Carrboro and I liked the people there. We will be doing business there from now on. Many thanks to j-mart 77 for the recommendation.

I go to Afforable Animal Care in Durham. I've heard it can normally cost $250 but this place is $90 ish. They keep costs down by just taking cash. Affordable Animal Care of Durham Everything else there is MUCH cheaper. I have 2 dogs so it helps when they need shots etc. The vet I was going to was charging way too much for one dog's annual visit.
