Any good places? Not looking for a fancy cut, just a good basic short cut at a reasonable price ($20 for a basic men's cut is not reasonable IMO, especially since I usually cut my hair every 4 or 5 weeks). Preferably something better than Supercuts, and preferably a place that only does men's haircuts.

A place that only cuts men's hair and charges less than $20. Hmmmm. Even Sport Clips and the Hair Saloon are probably $20+. Any lower and you're back into Supercuts territory. Sorry.

That looks interesting. Do these girls give a good cut, or are they looking to send you out the door after a 5min cut?

South Hills Barber Shop near in South Hills mall, near Crossroads in Cary. Cuts are $14. Beard trim is $5. Three chairs, no appointments, no frills. Essentially your basic, old-fashioned men's barber. It's run by two brothers and a friend of theirs, all probably in their early 30s. They've always done a great job and are extremely nice and friendly.

They actually do a good job. I highly recommend getting a shampoo/condition after the cut. It will set you back an additional $2 but the experience is worth $20. It's more of a scalp/neck massage than a wash. Total relaxation. Afterwards the girls bring you back to the chair to shave your neck. They do it just like a barber would. They'll put a hot towel on your neck for a few minutes while massaging your shoulders. Then they put on hot shaving cream before shaving with a safety razor. I thoroughly enjoy the experience if you can't tell.

One place to avoid is Great Clips. They're cheaper, and for a reason.

Second on Man-Mur. Mr. Mskb has been happily going for 4.5 years. Good cuts, good guys who remember you. They also do the hot shaving cream and neck shave.

I tried it. I liked it. Only thing missing was the happy ending.

I'll try some of the others as well. Thanks everyone.
