Any photography classes being offered in Raleigh? I know NCSU has one, but it seems that gets fully booked by students and alumni before it is opened for general registration.

Wake Tech also offers photography classes that I've heard are good.

I agree - the local community colleges offer a number of photography related classes. Wake Tech currently lists 18 continuing education classes dealing with photography.

Yeah the continuing ed classes at Wake Tech are great. I took the beginning sewing course last year and now actually know how to use my sewing machine and can complete projects lol.

Oh yeah, and if you live in Cary, parks and rec usually offers photography classes each "semester". Doesn't look like they have the spring brochure up yet but if you look at the fall one under the arts category you can see what they offered in the fall to get an idea of what they do: Programs and Classes

I am not sure about classes around here but what I did is youtube, blogs/podcasts, and the public library. I am no pro but I learned a heck of a lot. Let me know if you need some good sites.

Thanks, quite a few options between Wake Tech and Cary Parks & Rec. Do you need to be a resident of Cary for their classes?

Nope, you'll just have to pay the non-resident rate.

I've taken a macro workshop led by Jennifer Weinberg. I really enjoyed it, and learned a lot. She does a lot of other types of workshops, and also offers private lessons. Here is her website: Jennifer Weinberg Photography
