A few weeks ago I was traveling to durham and ended up on the triangle expressway. I know it was a toll road and they have those cameras that take pictures of your license, or transponder if you have one, and then send you a bill in the mail.

How does that work if you don't have a transponder and your car is registered out of state? My husband is military so my car is registered to another state but we live in north carolina. Am I still going to get a bill in the mail? I don't mind paying but I want to make sure that if I am supposed to get a bill that I will actually get it. I don't want to have outstanding bills.

Yep you'll still get a bill. My family in Ohio got their bill for about $2.50.

How long will it take? It's been a few weeks now and I still haven't gotten anything. Is there somewhere I can call or look online?

I'm not really sure. The charge probably happened in March or April and I just asked them about it earlier this month so it could have taken 2+ months. I assume the time is similar to the time it takes to send out local bills.

The site to pay your bill online is - https://www.myncquickpass.com/vector...n_US&from=Home

But they include an invoice number on the paper bill they mail which you'll need. There is a number there in case you lost your invoice, I would call and ask them if they have anything under your plate number.

I think her question is where will the bill go...answer...it is going where her car is registered...so she needs to make sure she can retrieve it.

Call 1-877-7MY-PASS and get your invoice number. Then go online and pay your bill.

Yes, I would call or go in person. They were very nice when I went in person to get my transponder.

I have heard that the late charge fees accrue and are brutal so it is worth a quick phone call or inperson visit to get it settled up.

When I was down in Cary from NYC a few weeks ago I rented a car at RDU and used the toll road. I would imagine that Almao rental car will get the invoice for my tolls and pass it along to me. And hopefully with no markup or administrative fee!

Many cars have license plate frames that make it impossible to determine the state that issued them.
