Saw an ad for a 30-buck-a-month plan from T-Mobile; anybody know how good their coverage is around here?

Try Platinum Tel. I have used them for 5 years. I use the pay as you go plan. They are a reseller of T-Mobile.

I have Verizon Wireless not a cost effective plan but for 45 bucks a month I get like 450 minutes and I get coverage everywhere up and down the corridor from NY to NC. I don't want to lose that. Might as well keep my cell plan when I go down South I guess.

I just switched to Net10's Verizon BYOP plan 2 months ago after being on Verizon for 12 years.

$85 family plan, that is two smart phones unlimited talk, text, and 3G data. After taxes around $93.

I considered Page Plus but Net10 doesn't charge roaming where Page Plus does. Plus I like that I can go above 500 mb data in a month, the PPC comparable was $55 for 2 gb. For those who use little data, the $30 Page Plus plan is a killer deal.

Personally I consider a cell to be a phone and coverage is paramount. Verizon and AT&T smoke the other two carriers.

I was on Page Plus for a while on the $30 plan. The coverage was pretty good because they use Verizon towers, but I found that I wanted more data. Now I'm on the $30 plan at Virgin Mobile which has unlimited data, and that is working out for me. They are on Sprint towers, and the coverage is not as good as it was on Verizon. When I drive through some more rural areas, like on the way to my parents in Bahama, I go through a large dead area with no service. Other than that, I'm happy with it though.

We use Tracfone and it cost's about $7.00 a month.

It's not a camera, computer, flashlight,it's just a frigging phone.

It works everywhere because they share cell towers with all the major carriers.

I use T-Mobile and their service is good, but not perfect. I can get service everywhere I go when outside, but it can cut out inside of buildings. When comparing costs to coworkers with verizon or ATT I'm saving around $960 over a two year contract while getting unlimited everything as opposed to 2gb of data. If cost is more important than perfect coverage it's a good option.

I use a pay-as-you-go plan with T-Mobile. I buy 1000 minutes for $95 and it lasts me at least 10 months. No data. I have an unlocked 3 yr old smartphone.
