Hi,

We recently purchased our home in CV and are moving from PA in June. If you live in the neighborhood, can you tell me if there are a lot of children? Do you like living there? Do most children attend Carpenter Elementary? I was planning on trying to apply for a transfer to a traditional calendar school…but now I am second guessing that, because I think it might be easier for my children to acclimate if they are in school with their neighbors

Thanks so much. So nervous/anxious/excited!

Howdy neighbor!!

Are there kids? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes...TONS of kids. We are crawling with kids! It seems every house has 2-3 (usually 3) kids so don't worry about that! I joke that it is a rule that you have to have 3 kids to live in our neighborhood. I have noticed with little kids, though, it doesn't matter if the neighborhood has kids, but if the people just 1-2 houses away have kids roughly the same ages as yours.

Be sure to check out the neighborhood website - ourcarpentervillage.com - for concert dates and such. You can even join the discussion board with your future address.

As for school, the kids in the neighborhood mostly go to Carpenter and Green Hope. Our oldest two actually go to Highcroft. I know of at least two families who go to Weatherstone. Others go to Sterling Montessori, but the drawing to get in is already over for next year. Carpenter and Green Hope are definitely the most attended. If you tell me your future address, I may know the kids near you and where they go.

Welcome!!
