I moved here from Boston, Ma. in August & I just can't find a good place with resonable prices to get my hair done. I have pin straight blonde hair naturally & just want to get highlights & lowlights, sounds simple but I've had no luck at all. I used to get my hair cut, highlighted, & styled up North for no more than $120 which seemed very reasonable to me. I'm 24 so I would like to find a salon that is fun & upbeat if at all possible. I've been looking at Salon Kroma, does anyone have any feedback on that salon & if it is overpriced or reasonable?? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
I've been going to Callie at Salon Kroma in Raleigh for the past year and a half and highly recommend her! I went to her for a free cut as a model on a leap of faith when I first moved here and loved what she did, so I stuck with her and have been very happy. She has done three different cuts for me, all of which I just told her, "I liked what you did last time, but if you have any new ideas that are just as easy to take care of, go for it."
I haven't had any color done, but her cuts are reasonable to me at ~$50-$60, I can't remember exactly because I like to give a big tip (I was paying ~$70+ for just a cut back home in Miami). A friend has gotten her hair colored there as well and has been happy, although I am not sure what she paid for a basic coloring.
