That mall has so much potential, but I feel like CBL is kind of just sitting on it. There's definitely a monetary factor to investing in it, but jeeze is that mall ever terrible. I kind of wonder if there's a silent stalemate due to a poorly worded contract with one of the anchor tenants that's blocking major redevelopment (ie: outdooring the mall).

They could just be running the clock down on leases as well so they can evict/move tenants and bulldoze at will. I dunno. I really don't think a playground is going to help all that much.

I wonder whether a playground will help all that much myself. I think it will be a wonderful place for the kids to play indoors.

Penneys and the Food Court might get a bit of business from the increase in traffic, but the families I've seen wandering the mall do not look that prosperous.
