Is it just me or has something gone "skunky" with Cary water? I was out of town this weekend, came home Monday morning for a big glass of tap water and about spit it out. I was at the gym in the evening and noticed the same with water there. Did my travels mess up my taste buds or is something up?

Don't know about NC, and I live in Raleigh and didn't notice anything, but late every summer in Chicagoland the water would get a musty taste and smell due to the algea bloom in Lake Michigan; it could be something similar here. If the kids complain say what my grandmother said "hush...its extra vegetables and vitamins, be happy you don't have to pull it from a well."
We have noticed the smell and the taste. Taste difference is strong enough to get thru my refrigerator's PUR filtering.
I just changed my fridge filter a couple weeks ago so maybe that helps. I do drink about 100oz. of water a day from that filter, so surprised I haven't noticed anything different.

Same here regarding water intake. The taste is minimally different but because I drink so much water I'm able to detect it.
I only have to bear with it until 6:30pm. That's when I grab my nightly beer(s)!

Hmm, never noticed this in my whole life drinking Lake Michigan water, but the two years since we've been here I've heard nothing but complaints from my DD and DH that NC water is awful compared to Lake Michigan.
We are not in Wake Co, have a fridge filter and the water still isnt that great. Sometimes it tastes like extra chlorine, but I'd hate to "musty" water.
