I've had it! I am tired of buying hardware that I don't need because Home Depot only sells the stuff in little bags or big boxes, for ridiculous prices. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase nuts, bolts, nails, etc by the pound or individually that is convenient to SW Raleigh / Cary.
Fastenal sells them like that. But they are expensive too.
I don't find the stuff at Lowes or HD expensive, and they sell a ton individually, only the SS stuff is $$. You'll spend more in gas than on the pack of nuts/bolts.
Burke Brothers at the corner of Hillsborough and Powell near the fairgrounds in Raleigh is the best place for this. Every time I go there I am always astonished at the amount of selection they have, even in such a tiny store. The employees are super helpful and pretty knowledgeable about many subjects too. They always leave parking spaces open during the fair for customers.
Town & Country Hardware (formerly Ace) sells fasteners like this too. I usually go to the one at Cary Parkway & Old Apex because it's closer to my house, but I think Burke Bros. is generally a better store.
Like orulz said, Burke Brothers Hardware is the best place to go. Their selection is better than Home Depot or Lowes and their customer service is outstanding.

Thanks!
Wake Forest Hardware. ...but it unfortunately is not close to you.
Thanks for the replies. I will swing by Burke Bros, they're the closest. I went there once when I first moved here years ago but did not venture to the hardware aisle.
The BEST place to buy any type of fasteners. If they don't have it it's not made.
