What's new for 2014 in Raleigh NC. New events. New construction, rummors of different things that may pop up downtown Raleigh. Such as a new Hilton Garden Inn downtown. Share news and ideas with each other. What do you think about the RTP 100,000 jobs?
Well, I'll bite. The 100,000 jobs sounds pretty absurd but I'm rooting for them. That number of jobs could employ every working age person in the city of Cary. More jobs = higher land values I wouldn't mind if my property value went up...
I am looking forward to seeing the design for the iconic "convergence center" though.
Park Center in RTP (the aforementioned 100k jobs
Costco in Cary
Publix in Cary and maybe DT Raleigh
Re-open of Pizzaria Toro in Durham (missed the first time)
Ed Mitchel to open BBQ place in Durham
The above are searchable on this forum, and "likely" to happen in 2014.
A little more optimistic, and probably further out in the future, but also hoping for:
-All cars in Raleigh to be equipped with turn signals
-mjd07's Neighbor to finally move the ladder
-Pizza place to open that everyone agrees is good
-Raleigh to pass an ordinance that BBQ is a noun and will not come in contact with tomato sauce
Ed Mitchel's place in Durham is called the Q I think. Dose anyone know when it's opening? Kinda still on topic. What happened with him and the Pit?
I work in the building it will be located in and it looks like they still have quite a ways to go. Moe's and Which Which are progressing nicely though.
