Go to 5-day forecast and then click on Wednesday. Still shows 3-5" when expanded.

Given we are ~36 hours out and the seemingly most reliable forecasters (which I consider to be WxSouth, WxRisk, and the government/NWS) are at a minimum forecasting 3-5" I would say that's a safe baseline on which to prepare. It could go beyond that, but it would seem that we should expect at least 3" min.

Looks like some possible short-range model shifting but that still doesn't mean we are out of the woods. Even the gov't says 1-3" accumulation for today and 3-5" for the next one tomorrow night and into Thursday (all are saying fast moving/heavy snow/wet snow):

National Weather Service
Thundersnow?

THUNDERSNOW?

Maybe Jim Cantore will come to Raleigh and do this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZKHNr3ZPEY

BTW, That'll be my exact reaction if any of my favorite sports teams ever win a championship!

Is it possible you selected the wrong day? The hourly forecast for Apex at weather.com is showing 90% chance of snow from 8PM Wednesday to 6AM Thursday.
