"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

I guess this doesn't apply in my northern Wake County neighborhood when it snows a couple of inches. No sign of the mail carrier today.

I received mail today and during the ice storm last week. I wouldn't mind not seeing them for a few days since all they deliver are bills and junk.

I know I didn't have mail delivery for 1-2 days during the last snowstorm. I had something in my mailbox with the flag up. It didn't get picked up for a while.

We got mail today, but last week we were without mail on Sunday (normal), Monday (holiday), and Tuesday (snow day). Then on Wednesday we got mail. We got 1 piece of mail on Thursday (not sure if it was delivered by the mailman or our neighbor got our mail by mistake and stuck it in our box). We got no mail on Friday. Then Saturday we got mail again. Crazy week!

But our trash and recycling were picked up! Woohoo!

I never really understand these posts about mail delivery. Nearly all the mail I get is junk or bills....a day free for it doesn't worry me at all.

We sent out invitations a few weeks ago for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and we're eagerly awaiting replies; otherwise I don't usually care much either.
