Hello,
Does anyone know of any free meeting rooms in the area that will allow for a small group of praying women to get together? We would not need the room for more than an hour but it would be just to pray together and discuss the word.

Have you tried the many local churches?

Try the local libraries. I know Cameron Village has free rooms, but you have to request in advance.

Libraries come to mind, but why wouldn't you just go to a church?

I looked up the library but it's supposed to be non-religious and must be open to the public.

Some of the coffee shops have meeting rooms that are good for small groups. Check out the Starbucks on Lake Boone Trail, New World Cafe in Pleasant Valley (off Glenwood) or Sola Cafe on Lead Mine and Sawmill (in Greystone Village).

Could you just use the "Book group" model and meet at alternating people's homes?

I as well wonder why there isn't a church somewhere that will let you use their space.
