Hi there ladies,,,i would love advise.

i am looking to relocate from NY and am focusing on Wake Forest and Cary
we need a certain layout for homes and find this in these 2 areas only.
have been to area 3x looking for homes.

1, my daughter plays upright bass and is in advanced orchestra - looking at middle school magnate schools as they are the only ones that seem to have string instruments. the other schools have band only.
i want her to continue this in school not just outside of school
Ligon, carnage, etc? any thoughts?
also is honor roll and will be attending 7th grade next year

2. what does everyone feel about Cary as a town and community? we are looking at Ashton Woods in Kildaire Crossing and really hoping to find lots of friends for my 12 year old girl and 8 year old son. i want an area that is homey and people want to make friends and hang out - thats why i prefer a complex with amenities.

3. any other thoughts i would love to hear so please share.

thanks so much.
happy holidays and Merry Christmas to those celebrating tomorrow

If a man speaks and no one hears him, is he still wrong?

Where will you and/or husband be working? Cimmutes from those areas can be pretty tough. I'd certainly be looking at those issues!

What kind of layout is ONLY available in these two places? That is quite frankly, impossible. Where else have you looked?

Gosh, I'm a life-long male, but I "saw something, and I want to say something":

Apex High School does a string ensemble; however, it's all up to the feeder Middle Schools to have same. so they can keep it going. Recent Christmas concert was just incredible.

In the past:

Apex is next to Cary and is more affordable for some.

I suggest you get in touch with music instructional staff at the school?
Also, consider renting in the area before you buy as stuff changes in this growing area.

Oh, I have 8 grandkids in Apex schools, some same ages as yours.

Also, when you visit, look at a church you might join and speak to a church secretary over a coffee...they really know the 'hood, too.

Davis Drive Middle has an orchestra. I can't believe they are the only orchestra in a middle school in Wake County.

Magnet schools are normally subject to a selection lottery. Admittance is not guaranteed.

What layout of house can you only find in Wake Forest and Cary?

The magnet schools you are interested in are in East/Southeast Raleigh......pretty far from the two areas you are targeting (which are also fairly far apart from each other) that have these supposed exclusive floorplans.....

Most middle schools in Western Wake county have string orchestras; they are just generally overshadowed by band which usually has many, many more students.

Even the crap middle school I went to 15+ years ago, Dillard Drive, had a string orchestra (I played trumpet in band).

I must also admit to being male and therefore not a lady....
