I'm looking for local wildflower seeds for a pollinator project. We need a larger amount than the little packets (probably about 5 pounds, either a 5 pound mix or maybe 1 pound bags of 5 varieties we can mix ourselves. )
The only things I can find in big box stores are bags that are a mixture of seed, plant food and other fillers to promote growth. I need ONLY seed. I've looked at some online suppliers but they are more expensive than our budget allows for.
I've checked the NC Extension Agency, the Arboretum and the NC Botanical Society.
Anyone seen anything like that around or have a good idea of where else I can look?

Not looked specifically for wildflower, but a lot of local garden supply stores have bulk seeds...I get them at Barnes Supply Co and Stone Brothers and Byrd in Durham, check around for that kind of shop in your area.

I do doubt you'll be able to beat online bulk prices anywhere locally though...a pound of wildflower seed is a lot of seed.
