It's happening downtown and on the downtown fringe in the Chavis area and a few others. Truly a sight to behold. When the gentrification is complete, the optics in those areas are gonna be mindblowing.

Are you referring to the new houses on Wynne St? I think they went on the market above $500000 and appear to have sold for just under. Seemed like a risky investment based on the other homes in the area that seemed to be nowhere near that price point. I was obviously mistaken. Are more modern homes being built in that area?

I think there are some on Wynne. There are a couple right near the 500 block of Lenoir St. (I can't think of the name of the cross street). Completely out of character. Really modern.

There's also a house with fairly modern architectural styling being built where Wade Ave. ends (at the Capital Blvd. split).

Initially I thought the investments on these home were risky, too. But the development of those houses in and of itself shift the market and influences market forces. And these seemingly "sore thumb" modern houses are being purchased. Just give it time.

The optics are gonna be unbelievable soon.
