Will the house of cards finally collapse? How much more money must this state lose? I hope people moving here are paying attention to what they're getting into!!
What's ironic here is that HB2 was a response to the City of Charlotte passing legislation recognizing transgender rights. Now Charlotte ends up being the victim losing the NBA All-Star game, ACC Championship game etc.....
Interesting that the four NC ACC schools (I assume that they supported the move) would sacrifice the interests of their own players and fans in pursuit of PC righteousness applied to what amounts to a non-issue. Although Duke has a history of doing just that to lacrosse players and fans, IIRC.
It's time to get rid of HB2. I have hated it from day 1 but this is getting ridiculous. Why McCrory and his band of idiots have not overturned it by now is beyond me. Come on November!!! Even if they love the darn bill at this point financial impacts should be reason enough to overturn it.

As far as I am concerned, the ACC and NCAA are using tactics that are closely related to blackmail, extortion, kidnapping, or terrorism. It's not good to buy-off people like this, which is to say I don't care about the financial impact. Just my opinion, of course . . .
It's not just Charlotte losing events, although they lost another big kahuna, the ACC football championship. But Cary lost two events and Durham lost one. Lots of places are getting hurt.
Until the bill gets repealed, NC will be ostracized. What do you know? Not a good idea to codify the ability to discriminate.

Really, really, really, these towns will be just fine. I promise
Funny how Republicans believe in the free market until it hurts their state
