Where can I get a good "homemade" pie? I'm looking for a nice pecan pie to bring to work for a Tgiving pot luck on Tuesday! I want to be able to go in and buy 1 or 2 pies and spend no more than $30. Fresh and made that day...will be venturing out tomorrow. I'm in midtown Raleigh but am perfectly willing to travel. Places like Harris Teeter or Kroger are a last resort if I get no responses here.
Nancy Jo's Pies at the State Farmers Market are excellent. I take several pecan pies from there each year to Thankgiving and they get eaten up Nancy Jo's pies and cakes are in the enclosed building on the upper level.
I'll be at the Farmers Market to bring my lady lunch this afternoon, might as well hit Nancy...are their pies available same day? I don't want to have to place an order or anything...need it tomorrow haha

I just came from from Nancy Jo's Homemade and indeed there were pies out on the counter. $15 a pop and looks quite tasty
