Hello,

Does anyone know a good martial arts or taekwondo (or similar) for 4-5 year old kid in the cary/morrisville perhaps Raleigh too?

The chains like VMA are as much as 150/mo + worst of all they seem to have long predatory contracts that can't be cancelled.

thanks.

Johnson's Martial Arts does not have a contract. They offer a free class so you can see if you like it and it s a good fit for your kids.

My son and I went to Master KS Lee for about 2 years. We completed all levels to just below Black Belt, and then my son decided he was done. We did not have to sign a contract. Master Lee is amazing in his ability. It has been a number of years since we attended, so I don't know if he still conducts the classes.

Although our [Kung Fu] school doesn't cater much to 4-5 year olds, my son started when he was 8; he is now 11. Our school does not have any contracts and we meet twice a week, on Tue (6pm-7pm) and Sat (11am-12pm). Tai Chi is included in the price and it is taught on Tue (7pm-8pm) and Sat (10am-11am) The fee is $80 per month for the first family member and $40 for each additional member - there is a free class for those who wish to try before they commit. We are a very small group, but a good mix of people. Here is the link:

The classes are held in North Raleigh, near Six Forks Rd and Sawmill Rd. During the first half we do warm up exercises. Let me know if you need more info.
