It's part of our weekly food shopping tour from Costco > Lidl > FL. Sometimes they have odd, cool, non-food stuff, but we don't tend to buy much from them besides some fruit or vegetables, we buy the most from the FL across the street.

I remember you saying meat at Lidl is good.
Some of the best is good. The pork had been excellent. I have never bought the beef and can't imagine I ever will. The chicken parts have been good and often extraordinarily cheap. Haven't tried the whole chickens (addicted to the Sanderson brand at Wal-Mart). The NORWEGIAN salmon is worth the trip from Brier Creek. The cheap produce is icing on the cake, but I don't go looking for something specific - the inventory changes all the time. Avoid the garlic and onions.
But I want one in Cary. The WF road one is On my Trader Joe's, Costco loop. I have no intention of going near that area until Wegmans has been open for several months.

.
The one off of Harrison looks like it's damn near done, probably be opening in a month or so
Sign permits were applied for on August 28, but one was rejected and the other one is still under review.
- The proposed signs on the building don't meet Cary's logo coverage or color requirements, so that one was rejected and the town is awaiting resubmission.
- The initial application for the ground-mounted sign at Harrison didn't include the "Northwoods" text and logo as required under the town's master sign plan for the area. They resubmitted last week.

Lidl resubmitted a sign plan today..."Food Market" text on the building now white instead of red to meet Cary's rules, and Lidl logos are smaller, although they still look to me to exceed Cary's limits.
I was by there yesterday and it looks basically ready to go except for the signage.
- Cary approved the ground-mounted sign for the corner of Harrison and Harrison Points last week.
- The permit for the signs on the building is still under review by the town.
I can't imagine Lidl will announce an opening date until they have closure on the sign permit issue to ensure they get those signs up.
